Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ChalkTalk (“ChalkTalk,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with the website at chalktalk.uk and the short-form video content we publish on third-party social platforms (collectively, the “Service”).

1. Summary

ChalkTalk does not operate a consumer application, accept user-generated content, or run user accounts for viewers. We do not request login credentials, payment information, or personally identifying information from anyone consuming our content. Viewers interact with ChalkTalk exclusively through public videos hosted by third-party platforms; those platforms — not ChalkTalk — determine what data is collected from viewers.

2. Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information from viewers.
  • We do not place tracking cookies or analytics beacons on the chalktalk.uk website.
  • We do not maintain user profiles or behavioural histories of viewers.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share viewer information with advertisers, because we do not collect viewer information.

3. Information about our own social-platform accounts

To publish videos, ChalkTalk's operators authenticate ChalkTalk's own social-platform accounts (e.g., the ChalkTalk YouTube channel, the ChalkTalk TikTok handle) using each platform's OAuth flow. The access and refresh tokens returned by those flows are stored in our database encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM using a key held only by the operator. These tokens authorise ChalkTalk to post video content to the accounts ChalkTalk itself owns. They are never used to access any third party's data.

4. Information from sports-data providers

We license fixture, event, and statistical data from third-party sports-data providers (such as API-Football). That data concerns publicly known professional football matches, teams, and players — it does not include information about you or any other end-user.

5. AI processing

Video scripts are drafted with assistance from large language models operated by Anthropic and other providers. The inputs to those models consist of match facts, statistics, and editorial style guidelines — not personal data of any viewer or third party.

6. Hosting and infrastructure

The chalktalk.uk website is served from DigitalOcean infrastructure with Cloudflare in front for DNS, DDoS mitigation, and TLS termination. Standard request metadata (IP address, request path, user-agent) may be processed by these providers for operational purposes. We do not maintain our own analytics layer on top of this.

7. Third-party platforms

When you watch a ChalkTalk video on YouTube, TikTok, or another platform, that platform applies its own privacy policy to your interaction. ChalkTalk has no access to a viewer's account on any third-party platform, no ability to read viewer messages or comments beyond what is publicly displayed alongside our videos, and no ability to identify individual viewers.

8. Children's privacy

ChalkTalk is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect personal information from any viewer, this restriction applies trivially.

9. Security

ChalkTalk applies industry-standard security controls to the limited operational data we maintain: encrypted-at-rest storage for OAuth tokens, parameter-binding for all database access, least-privilege credentials for internal services, and TLS for all network traffic. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to contact us at security@chalktalk.uk if you discover a vulnerability.

10. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data from viewers, requests under data-protection regimes such as the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act will generally return a confirmation that no records exist. If you believe ChalkTalk holds personal data about you, please contact contact@chalktalk.uk and we will respond within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this page.
